Drake’s ‘Ya Hit’ Lyrics: Is He Dissing Someone on Future’s New Song With Travis Scott?
Drake is getting attention for a pointed lyric on Future‘s brand new song, “Ya Hit.”
The track arrived on Friday (November 6), featuring Travis Scott and Loe Shimmy alongside the two rappers.
Sexyy Red also contributes ad-libs to the song, which was produced by ATL Jacob and mastered by Mike Dean.
While the collaboration is already getting attention for its lineup, one particular line from Drake has raised questions about whether he’s taking aim at another artist.

What Does Drake Say in His “Ya Hit” Lyrics?
In the song’s second verse, Drake appears to criticize an unnamed artist’s music.
“Your album ain’t gettin’ no better,” he raps, before suggesting that the person should stop working on their project and turn it in.
The lyric, highlighted by Complex, could be interpreted as a jab at a fellow rapper.
Genius commenters speculate that the lyric could be a dig at rival Kendrick Lamar, who hasn’t dropped a record since 2024’s GNX. Other commenters wonder if it’s about A$AP Rocky, who is still poised to drop his Dumb and Dumber (Disc 2).
However, Drake doesn’t identify anyone in that particular line, and there’s no confirmation that it’s directed at a specific artist.
Why Is Drake’s New Collaboration With Future and Travis Scott Significant?
“Ya Hit” also marks another collaboration between Drake and Future following their previously publicized tensions.
The two reunited earlier this year on “Ran to Atlanta,” which included a reference to a lyric from Kendrick‘s feud with Drake.
Meanwhile, Drake and Travis Scott hadn’t appeared together on a released song since 2023’s “Meltdown,” according to Complex.
Interestingly, “Ya Hit” was reportedly previewed during Drake‘s 40th birthday celebrations in New York City last month, according to Hypebeast.
Both Travis and Loe Shimmy were among the guests at his October 24 party, which Just Jared previously covered.
