Anna Gunn is reflecting on her Breaking Bad character’s reception!

The 55-year-old actress starred as Skyler White, the wife of Bryan Cranston‘s Walter White, in the hit AMC show, which aired from 2008 to 2013. Anna won a pair of Emmys for her role in Breaking Bad.

Despite the critical acclaim for her acting performance, Anna has previously spoken about receiving harassment from toxic fans of the show. She even wrote a New York Times op-ed about the misogynistic commentary on her character and the threats she personally received.

Now more than 10 years after Breaking Bad‘s final season aired, Anna has opened up about how the public’s reception of Skyler has changed since.

The cast of Breaking Bad celebrated a special anniversary at the 2024 SAG Awards – the 10th anniversary of winning Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Bryan Cranson, RJ Mitte, Jonathan Banks, Anna Gunn, Betsy Brandt, Dean Norris, Aaron Paul and Bob Odenkirk marked the occasion by taking the stage at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall on Saturday night (February 24) to announce this year’s recipient of the award: the cast of Succession.

While up there, they made use of the ceremony’s lax policy on swearing, peppering in some colorful language while poking fun at each other and the show’s organizers.

Aaron Paul holds his adorable daughter Story while bringing her on stage for the Breaking Bad 10th Anniversary Reunion panel during day one of 2018 Comic-Con on Thursday (July 19) in San Diego, Calif.

The 38-year-old actor dressed his five-month-old daughter in a HazMat suit like the one Walter White and his character Jesse Pinkman often wore in the show.

Aaron was joined by on the panel by co-stars Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn, Betsy Brandt, Dean Norris, RJ Mitte, Giancarlo Esposito, Bob Odenkirk, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mondo, and series creator Vince Gilligan.

During the panel, it was confirmed that Bryan and Aaron will not appear in season four of Better Call Saul. “We would be seriously remiss if these characters don’t appear on Saul before it is all over,” Gilligan clarified, so don’t give up hope!

The two actors were all smiles while making their way into 2018 San Diego Comic Con on Wednesday (July 18) in San Diego, Calif.

The cast of the acclaimed AMC series, including Bryan and Aaron, will reunite during a panel on Thursday (July 19) at the convention.

Co-stars RJ Mitte, Bob Odenkirk and Anna Gunn were also seen heading into the convention.

The cast also teamed up on the cover of a recent issue of Entertainment Weekly, where they opened up about the reunion.

“You can’t just move on. Something that was so indelible and meaningful in your life and you can’t, and I don’t want to. I want to hold on to those good memories of that gathering, both then and during our seven years together. So, it’s a bit melancholy, actually. Bittersweet,” said Bryan.

On reuniting with his co-stars, Bryan said, “You can’t just move on. Something that was so indelible and meaningful in your life and you can’t, and I don’t want to. Aaron added, “I love these people. I feel blessed to have shared this incredible experience that is Breaking Bad with each and every one of these people. I remember when we were shooting the first season, [co-star Dean Norris] and I were talking, he goes, ‘You know, in ten years, we’re going to look back and say, ‘Goddammit! I used to be a part of Breaking Bad!’ And now it’s crazy that 10 years has passed, and I am still constantly thinking that. It’s like, wow, how lucky we all are.”
