Star Trek: Discovery is embarking on one last journey, starting this week.

The hit Paramount+ series, part of the long-running Star Trek franchise, will end with its fifth and final season, beginning with two episodes on Paramount+ on Thursday (April 4), with new episodes premiering every Thursday.

In the series, ten years before Kirk, Spock, and the Enterprise, the USS Discovery discovers new worlds and lifeforms as one Starfleet officer learns to understand all things alien.

The stars of Star Trek: Discovery are bringing their Paramount+ show to Comic-Con!

Sonequa Martin-Green, Mary Wiseman, David Ajala, Wilson Cruz, Blu del Barrio, and Anthony Rapp stepped out for the 2021 Comic-Con on Saturday (October 9) at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

During their panel discussion, the cast debuted the first trailer for the upcoming fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery.

Get to Know David Ajala, the New Star of 'Star Trek: Discovery,' with These 10 Fun Facts (Exclusive)

David Ajala is the new star of the CBS All Access series Star Trek: Discovery and we caught up with the actor to learn more about him!

The 34-year-old British actor, best known for his work on the shows Nightflyers and Falling Water, plays Cleveland “Book” Booker on the third season of the series.

David‘s casting was announced over a year ago, so we’ve been waiting a long time for his debut! Smart and capable, Book is described as having “a natural charisma and devil-may-care attitude that tends to get him into trouble as often as it gets him out.”

The third season of Star Trek: Discovery is now airing on the streaming service CBS All Access with new episodes added each Thursday.

Melissa Benoist is All Smiles While Filming 'Supergirl' With David Ajala

Melissa Benoist flashes a grin while getting into character on the Supergirl set!

The 29-year-old Whiplash actress was seen filming new footage for season four on Friday (September 21) in Vancouver, Canada.

She was joined by David Ajala, who will be playing the new, recurring role of Manchester Black.

Other new cast members who will be joining the show are April Parker Jones as series regular Colonel Haley, and transgender activist Nicole Maines, marking the first transgender superhero on TV.

'Supergirl' Adds First Transgender Superhero on Television!

Supergirl is making history after casting TV’s very first transgender superhero!

Melissa Benoist and her co-stars made the announcement at the Supergirl Special Video Presentation and Q&A during 2018 Comic-Con at San Diego Convention Center on Saturday (July 21) in San Diego, Calif.

She was joined on stage by Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Katie McGrath, David Harewood, Jesse Rath, and transgender activist and actress Nicole Maines, who made a surprise appearance during the panel!

Nicole will play Nia Nal, aka Dreamer, “the newest addition to the CatCo reporting team. A soulful young transgender woman with a fierce drive to protect others, Nia’s journey this season means fulfilling her destiny as the superhero Dreamer (much like Kara came into her own as Supergirl),” Deadline reports.

Supergirl will also add April Parker Jones as series regular Colonel Haley and David Ajala in the recurring role of Manchester Black.

Season four of Supergirl will premiere on October 14 on The CW!

'Nightflyers' Cast Debuts Trailer for George R.R. Martin's New Show at Comic-Con!

The cast of the new series Nightflyers gathers for a photo while attending day one of 2018 Comic-Con on Thursday (July 19) in San Diego, Calif.

David Ajala, Gretchen Mol, Eoin Macken, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Angus Sampson were on hand to debut the first trailer for the upcoming Syfy series, based on the book by “Game of Thrones” author George R.R. Martin.

Martin was scheduled to attend the show’s panel, but was too busy writing and was unable to make it. He sent a video message instead.

Nightflyers, premiering this fall on Syfy, takes place hundreds of years in the future when humans have colonized the solar system. Earth, Mars, and the Belt are now on the brink of war and all it will take is a single spark.
