Girls Aloud Group Steps Out Together After Announcing Reunion Tour! (Photos)

The ladies of Girls Aloud are celebrating the exciting news that they are heading out on tour next year!

Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, and Cheryl posed for photos while exiting Zoe Ball’s BBC Breakfast Show on Thursday (November 23) in London, England.

The group’s fifth member, Sarah Harding, passed away in September 2021 at the age of 39.

The UK and Ireland arena tour was announced to celebrate the group’s 21st anniversary.

Cheryl said, “We all started talking about the possibility of doing something to celebrate Girls Aloud’s 20-year anniversary a few years ago. The anniversary seemed like an obvious thing that we would celebrate. But when Sarah fell ill all priorities changed. She passed away a year before the anniversary and it just didn’t feel right, it felt too soon. But now, I think there is an energy that does makes it feel right. It’s the right time to celebrate Sarah, it’s the right time to celebrate the band and the right time to celebrate the fact we can still do this 21 years later. That’s a big honour in lots of ways.”

Girls Aloud 20th Anniversary Reunion on Hold Amid Sarah Harding Cancer Battle

The highly anticipated reunion of Girls Aloud is now on hold.

The “Sound of the Underground” girl group was set to reunite for their 20th anniversary in 2022, but will now be focusing on supporting Sarah Harding amid her cancer battle, the group’s Nadine Coyle confirmed.

“I would love to be like, ‘Yes, this is what we’re doing.’ At the minute, it’s very much thinking about Sarah, being there for Sarah. It’s a really unfortunate time for her. The whole thing is like, ‘Come on, come on’, because then that could be the priority – talking about, ‘Should we do a tour? Should we do something?’ Instead we’re worried about Sarah,” Nadine said during an interview with Sink The Pink.

“We’re just focusing everything there. That is the main priority.”

Girls Aloud – which also includes Cheryl, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts – debuted in 2002 after forming on Popstars: The Rivals.

Sarah Harding recently revealed a very sad update about her health amid her cancer diagnosis. We are wishing her the best in her battle.

Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding Was Told Last Christmas Would 'Probably Be My Last' Amid Cancer Battle

Sarah Harding is getting incredibly candid about her health.

The 39-year-old Girls Aloud member revealed that she was told by doctors that Christmas of 2020 would “probably be my last” in an excerpt from her upcoming memoir Hear Me Out, provided by The Times.

Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020, and sadly revealed that the disease spread to other parts of her body.

She also revealed that she has since had a mastectomy and chemotherapy, and is being looked after by her mother.

“Nothing is certain any more. I’m just grateful to wake up every day and live my best life because now I know just how precious it is,” she said.

She explained that “for a while, it seemed like the chemo was working”, but that a later MRI scan had revealed another tumor, “either at the base of my spine or on my brain.” A second MRI revealed another tumor.

“I don’t want an exact prognosis. I don’t know why anyone would want that. Comfort and being as pain-free as possible is what’s important to me now,” she said.

“I want to show people the real me. Or perhaps remind them. Because, somewhere – amongst the nightclubs, the frocks and hairdos, the big chart hits, and the glamour of being a popstar – the other Sarah Harding got utterly lost. She’s the one who’s been forgotten. And all I want is for you to hear her out,” she said of writing her book.
