Margot Robbie has emerged as one of the brightest stars in DC’s film universe as the delightfully demented Harley Quinn, and fans want to know if they’ve seen the last of her.

The 32-year-old star made her DC debut in 2016′s Suicide Squad and reprised her role in 2020′s Birds of Prey and 2021′s The Suicide Squad.

Amid news that actors such as Henry Cavill will no longer be involved in the film franchise, DC Studios co-chair James Gunn revealed if she’d be back again in the future.

Margot Robbie makes her third appearance in the DC Comics Extended Universe in the new movie The Suicide Squad and she’s opening up about her future with the character Harley Quinn.

The 31-year-old two-time Oscar-nominated actress has previously played Harley in 2016′s Suicide Squad and 2020′s Birds of Prey.

So, will Margot continue playing Harley after her work in The Suicide Squad? She recently said in an interview that she needed to take a break from the character “because she’s exhausting.”

Margot just gave a new interview in which she addressed those comments and talked about the future of the character.

Margot Robbie announced she’s taking a break from playing Harley Quinn for a bit after back-to-back production playing the iconic DC character in Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey and James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

During the interview, the 31-year-old actress also learned the fate of Harley Quinn in the timeline that she portrays the character. If you don’t know, there are many iterations of the character in the DC Universe, but Margot’s timeline lines up with Jared Leto‘s Joker and Ben Affleck‘s Batman.

Margot Robbie is back as Harley Quinn!

The actress stars in the upcoming Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), and a new trailer was just released on Thursday (January 9).

The new trailer features a closer look at the villains, Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) and Victor Zsasz (Chris Messina).

Here’s a plot synopsis: You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary, and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.

Margot Robbie will be reprising her role as Harley Quinn in the upcoming movie Birds of Prey and the first photos from set are here!!!

The 28-year-old actress was spotted unwrapping a burrito and throwing the tin foil wrapper into the street while filming a scene on Friday (February 1) in downtown Los Angeles.

Margot is seen wearing the same costume that she wore in an Instagram snap shared earlier in the week.

Birds of Prey, which hits theaters on February 7, 2020, follows Harley Quinn as she joins three other superheroes (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Rosie Perez) to save a little girl from an evil crime lord.
