The movie The Color Purple is currently in theaters and winning over audiences around the country!

The film features Celie’s triumphant song “I’m Here,” which is performed by Fantasia Barrino in the movie. She’s reprising her role as Celie after previously playing the character in the Broadway version of The Color Purple back in 2007.

Ariana Grande was repping Oz when she took the stage as a surprise guest during Mariah Carey‘s Christmas concert on Saturday night (December 9).

The 30-year-old “thank u, next” pop star and Jennifer Hudson joined Mariah for a performance of their 2020 duet “Oh Santa.”

After it was over, she shared a photo from backstage that revealed a sneaky detail in her outfit that paid tribute to her role as Glinda in the forthcoming Wicked movies.

Mariah Carey welcomed two powerhouse collaborators to the stage for a surprise performance during her holiday concert in New York City on Saturday night (December 9).

The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” icon belted out her hits for fans at Madison Square Garden, and she got a little help from Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson when it came time to perform their collab “Oh Santa.”

The 42-year-old Oscar-winning Dreamgirls actress and the 51-year-old Oscar-winning rapper were seen holding hands while arriving at the concert venue Joe’s Pub on Saturday night (November 4) in New York City.

The couple reportedly attended a performance that honored jazz vocalist Mikel Mwalimu-Banks.

On Monday (November 6), Jennifer was seen leaving the CBS studios after an appearance on CBS Mornings. During the interview, she talked about her new relationship.

Jennifer Hudson is opening up about her love life!

The 42-year-old singer and Oscar-winning actress returned to daytime television on Monday (October 2) and casually mentioned she has a boyfriend during the season premiere episode.

Jennifer started the show by welcoming her audience back to The Jennifer Hudson Show and she raved about Usher‘s new music, as well as his Las Vegas residency at Park MGM.

While she hasn’t attended yet, Jennifer says she’s going to soon. “and I’m going to bring my boyfriend, all right. We’re going to sit in the back and watch. Because Usher is everybody’s boyfriend, all right!”

Television is continuing to struggle with original content about the Hollywood strikes.

As writers and actors continue to stand in solidarity with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes for fair pay and better working conditions, several TV shows have been pushed back and postponed that were planning on premiering for the fall season.
