Kate Gosselin is speaking out in response to allegations made against her and her children by her son Collin.

The famous family came to fame with their TLC reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 in the height of the reality TV fervor. It followed Kate and her ex-husband Jon Gosselin and their children after they gave birth to sextuplets. Their previously born twin daughters left them with a total of eight children.

In more recent years, the family has divided with Collin and his sister Hannah, both 19, living with Jon. The remainder of the couple’s children live with Kate.

In a series of interviews, Collin has made allegations about his relationship with Kate, including the claim that he was institutionalized.

Collin‘s older sister Mady, 22, addressed their estrangement earlier this week, in turn accusing Collin of “physical violence and hate speech” amongst other things.

In the aftermath, both Kate and Jon are speaking out.

The Gosselin family is getting a lot of press right now after the father, Jon Gosselin, and two of the siblings, Collin, 19, and Hannah, 19, (all pictured to the left), participated in the Vice TV’s new episode of the “Dark Side of the 2000s” series, focused on their family.

A quick recap if you know nothing: Jon and Kate rose to fame in the mid-2000s when they welcomed sextuplets, Collin, Hannah, Alexis, Aaden, Joel and Leah, who are all now 19, after welcoming older twins, Cara and Mady, now 22. They had a hit TV show, Jon & Kate Plus 8 that aired for several years before Jon and Kate divorced.

There have been made allegations made over the years, but recently, Collin has come forward about his teen years where he was sent away to a mental health facility for several years before begging his father to release him. Jon eventually won custody of Collin and also became the primary caregiver to Hannah. The rest of the Gosselin children eventually became estranged from their dad. Collin has also not spoken to his siblings in years.

In the new docu-series, Collin, Jon and Hannah, made some big revelations which we’ve broken down for you here. In addition, Mady has seemingly responded to some of what has been said, and she made a big accusation against her brother.

Collin Gosselin, the son of Jon and Kate Gosselin, is now 19 years old and he’s opening up in an interview about his estrangement from his mom, her putting him in an institution before she lost custody of him, when their relationship deteriorated, if he’d reconcile with her, and so much more.

If you don’t know, Collin was one of the kids featured in TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 as a child along with his seven siblings and parents. Jon & Kate Plus 8 ran from 2007 to 2017, and was rebranded Kate Plus 8 after Kate and Jon separated.

Amid their separation, some of the sextuplets Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden, along with twins Cara and Mady, continued to live with their mom. Hannah and Collin lived with Jon.

Now, he’s given two interviews: the first wide-ranging interview was published last year and the second was just released in July 2023. We’re learning details we never knew before.

The sextuplets of Jon & Kate Plus 8 just turned 18 years old and Hannah Gosslin is speaking out about her decision to leave her mom’s home and live permanently with her dad.

If you don’t know, Leah, Joel, Alexis and Aaden all live with their mom Kate, while Collin and Hannah live with Jon. The parents also share twins, Cara and Madelyn, who are now 21 and in college.

Hannah revealed why she wanted to live with her dad, if it was hard to leave her siblings behind, the treatment she got at her mom’s house, and her current relationship with Kate.

Kate Gosselin is slamming her ex husband Jon Gosselin as an abusive person after their son, Collin, accused him of punching and kicking him in a violent incident.

“I am done hiding and will say this unequivocally: Jon is a violent and abusive person,” Kate, 45, told People. “The police need to do their jobs. I am so sick of Jon’s abuse being disguised as everything but…I don’t want my children around him. Enough is enough.”

Kate continued that she “learned of this incident from CYS, and through them I was then read multiple reports — from the police report, to Collin’s statement to the police, to the account of an adult eyewitness. They were all very similar, if not identical.”

“Until I receive the letter from CYS about whether they’ve deemed the allegations founded or not, it’s ongoing. My contact at CYS has not told me otherwise,” Kate added. “If this doesn’t qualify as assault, I don’t know what does.”
