Jon Gosselin Denies That He Abused His Son Collin - Read the Statement

Jon Gosselin is speaking out to deny the allegations that he abused his son Collin.

The 16-year-old son of Jon and Kate Gosselin spoke out on social media this week in a since-deleted post.

“My dad is a liar,” Collin allegedly wrote in the post. “Yesterday he beat me up and thought nothing of it, he punched me in the face and gave me a swollen nose and I started bleeding. He then continued to kick me in the ribs after I was on the floor. He is a liar.”

The County of Berks, Pennsylvania Child & Youth Services reportedly launched an investigation into the claims.

Jon & Kate Gosselin's Son Accuses Dad of Physical Abuse

Jon Gosselin is under investigation.

The 16-year-old son of Jon and Kate Gosselin, Collin, accused his father of punching and kicking him, launching a child abuse investigation, People confirmed Thursday (September 10).

The County of Berks, Pennsylvania Child & Youth Services has notified Collin‘s mom, Kate, of an open investigation into an alleged violent incident between Jon and the his son.

The allegation is of “causing bodily injury to a child through recent act/failure to act: hitting/punching.” The report does not name Jon as the alleged perpetrator, but is consistent with Collin‘s accusation last week in a now-deleted post on Instagram that his father “beat” him.

“You do not punch and kick your children. You do not kick a child. I don’t want to hear any excuses from anyone, not from his father, not from local law enforcement, not from court personnel whose job is supposedly to ensure the best interests of my children. There is a child abuse law, PA 23, section 8i states that doing any of the following, regardless of whether it causes injury, is child abuse, and first on that list is kicking. Period,” Kate said in a statement.

“I don’t want my children around him. Enough is enough,” she added of her ex.

“My dad is a liar. Yesterday he beat me up and thought nothing of it, he punched me in the face and gave me a swollen nose and I started bleeding. He then continued to kick me in the ribs after I was on the floor. He is a liar,” Collin wrote in the now-deleted post.

A rep for Jon did not immediately return People‘s request for comment.

The outlet notes that “while CYS is currently looking into what happened, it does not seem likely Jon will face any legal repercussions.

“There has been no charges or citations filed as a result of that incident. That’s the only incident we are aware of at this point and there was no citation or charges filed as a result of the incident,” said Berks County District Attorney John Adams.

“I do not want this buried, swept under the rug or minimized. As a mother, I am not going to sit quietly and idly by while my child, any of my children, is assaulted by anyone, let alone their own father. I am spotlighting this, and I will keep shouting about it, in the hopes that the authorities and the courts will finally do the right thing. Do not return my child to an abuser’s home. Jon needs to be charged with a crime. If this were your child, would you feel okay with having it swept under the rug?” added Kate.

Jon and Kate divorced in 2009 after 10 years of marriage after shooting to superstardom with their reality TV show in 2007, Jon & Kate Plus 8.

Meanwhile, Collin also seemed to shade his mother in a Mother’s Day post this year.

Collin Gosselin, 16, Appears to Shade Mom Kate Gosselin in Mother's Day Post

Collin Gosselin, one of the sextuplets of Jon and Kate Plus 8, appeared to shade his mom Kate Gosselin in a post on Mother’s Day by failing to mention her at all.

Fans started talking when they noticed his Mother’s Day post honored his dad Jon Gosselin‘s girlfriend, Colleen Conrad, instead of his own mom.

“Turns out today is Mother’s Day, today we pay love forward to our mothers, but I don’t think mother can describe all the things Colleen has done for me,” Collin, 16, posted on Instagram. “Yes a mother clothes her children and cooks for them but it’s the best feeling when your mother or mother figure is one of your best friends and always has your back, the one who always shares that laugh of the humor only you guys get.”

“I could call it Mother’s Day, but it’s more than that, Colleen, you are so much more than a mother to me, you are one of my guidelines and one of my guiding lights,” he continued. “Thank you doesn’t say enough, I love you so much and you’ve done so much for me that claims you my strong, happy, loving and awesome mother figure, you’re irreplaceable. Thank you so much Colleen love you so much!!!”

The post made no mention of Kate Gosselin amid the family’s tumultuous relationship.

Jon and Colleen have been dating for six years. Collin lives with his dad, and we found out more about the type of contact Collin has with Kate…

Kate Gosselin Cannot Legally Contact Her Child Collin, Jon Gosselin Says in Revealing Interview

Jon Gosselin is getting very candid about his family situation in a way he never has before.

If you don’t know, the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star now has sole custody of two of his sextuplets that he shares with Kate Gosselin, Hannah and Collin.

“I’ve been going to court for 12 years, so it’s not an easy battle. I had shared custody, I lost some kids, I had joint legal, I lost legal, I got legal back. When Hannah was 12 years old she wanted to live with me, so then I had to go get legal again, and then I got shared custody. And then, all of a sudden now, I got primary of her,” Jon said in an interview on First Class Fatherhood, posted to YouTube on February 2.

“I got sole custody of Collin, Kate has a no contact with him, so there’s a whole bunch of stuff that happened with him,” Jon said about Kate not being able to contact him.

According to a law dictionary, a “no contact” order is “prohibits a person from being in physical or verbal contact with another person, whether that is face-to-face or over the phone/internet.” As for why a “no contact” is issued, it can be anything “from minor altercations between couples to serious, criminal charges of stalking.”

“So, I ended up with two, there could be more that come, so I have no idea. But, I mean, it’s a long battle…I just didn’t give up, I’m still not gonna give up,” Jon continued. “So, if they decide to go live with mom or they decide to live with dad, it’s up to them.”

He then added, “We do have a guardian ad litem, so it’s like having a third parent, if there is a dispute between mom and dad, they can always call the guardian ad litem and she is a representative of the court and the judge, so she can make a better decision if there’s a dispute between mom and dad.”

“Right now, it’s very tumultuous, pretty much, because there’s no contact between Collin and his other siblings. There’s contact between Hannah and the other siblings,” Jon added about if Hannah and Collin, who live together with Jon, have any contact with Leah, Alexis, Joel, Aaden, 15, and Maddy and Cara, 19.

“So, the problem right now is we have parent alienation and we have sibling alienation,” he added.

Jon recently revealed which of his kids do not speak to him.

Jon Gosselin Makes Allegations Against Ex Kate Gosselin in New Interview

Jon Gosselin is making allegations against his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin.

The 42-year-old reality star accused Kate of being a “militant” mother to their eight children together, claiming some of their children “have suffered abuse” in a new interview with DailyMailTV.

Jon alleges he received “50 or 60″ letters from the Department of Human Services due to suspected child abuse, and says Kate sent their son Collin to a child and adolescent behavioral unit without his knowledge, who was “caged” at the facility for three years where Kate allegedly only visited him three times.

“He was alone for three and a half years with no parents, all locked up. It was inhumane,” Jon said.

Jon also claims their daughter Hannah was “mentally abused,” alleging that she and Collin suffer from PTSD.

Hannah had had enough, she was always labeled the leader of the pack. She just got tired of being the leader of the pack and all that responsibility. She just wanted to be a kid. Kate targeted her. I mean, who puts all that pressure on to someone that’s 12 years old, it’s a lot.”

“I have watched my children suffer and I have not been able to say a word…it’s not about me, I don’t give a s–t, I’m like whatever, I’ll just go to work, you know? But my kids have suffered so much. Who’s going to defend them?” he added

Jon Gosselin Reveals Which of His Kids Don't Speak to Him Anymore

Former reality star Jon Gosselin does not speak to several of his children, but two currently live with him full time.

Hannah, 14, lives with me full time, and then Collin, 14, [also lives with me],” Jon told People. “Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden, they’re with their mom, and then the twins are 18, so they’re adults.”

“The other four aren’t talking to me, but they’re talking to Hannah. It’s what the kids want to do. If they don’t want to talk to me, that’s fine, as long as they keep up with their sibling connections.”

So, Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden, four of the six 14-year-old sextuplets, do not speak with him. He did not share the status of his relationship with twins Mady and Cara, 18.

The last time he saw all of his children together, he added, “It was just volatile and a lot going on. It was just not a good time.”

Jon also doesn’t speak with his ex wife Kate Gosselin, adding, “It’s too much right now.”

Kate, 43, asked on Monday (December 3) for the Tuesday court date to be postponed, but her request was denied.

Jon, 41, sought custody of Collin after he began seeking inpatient treatment for behavioral issues.
