Anthony Ramos Recalls Almost Getting Burned By Fireworks On 'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' Set

Anthony Ramos holds onto a tiny Transformers figurine during the world premiere of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts held at Marina Bay Sands over the weekend in Singapore.

The 31-year-old actor joined co-stars Dominique Fishback and Tobe Nwigwe, along with Tobe‘s wife, Martica ‘Fat’ Nwigwe (they just welcomed their fourth child!), and director Steven Caple Jr.

In a new interview, Anthony opened up about how he caught fire during filming!

“The craziest day on set was I almost got burned by one of the fireworks that went off,” he told SFX magazine. “In one of the scenes, there’s a big battle on this lawn at a museum.”

He adds that you can see “some of it in the trailer. My windbreaker starts to catch fire a little bit. You can see a spark go into my windbreaker. It’s the actual take that they used.”

In another interview, Anthony and Dominique, who are longtime friends, opened up about their audition story.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is set to be released in theaters on June 9.

Anthony Ramos and Dominque Fishback share a few laughs together during the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts photocall held at Gardens by the Bay on Friday (May 26) in Singapore.

The two actors joined co-star Tobe Nwigwe and director Steven Caple, Jr. for the event, ahead of the world premiere of the movie.

In a new interview, it was revealed that Anthony and Dominique are actually longtime friends and went out for their respective roles without knowing they auditioned for the same movie.

While opening up about how they had a goal of writing or doing something together, Dominique said that they “had no idea it would be this epic and this Brooklyn.”

Steven had shared that while they had come in separately to audition for their roles as Noah and Elena, they came in together for the chemistry read.

“We were too familiar,” Anthony laughed, recalling that Steven had to remind them that their characters don’t know each other. Anthony and Dominique have known each other for about 5 years.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 9, 2023. Watch the latest trailer for the movie now!
