Youn Yuh-Jung is getting a lot of praise on social media right now for what she did at the 2022 Academy Awards on Sunday (March 27) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
The 74-year-old Minari actress, who picked up the Best Supporting Actress honor last year, stepped on stage to present the Best Supporting Actor honor.
In her introduction, Yuh-jung won many fans’ hearts as she signed a bit for the cameras, as well as ultimate winner Troy Kotsur‘s name.
Natalie Portman wears an all red ensemble as she arrives to support the cast at the premiere of Pachinko held at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Wednesday (March 16) in Los Angeles.
The 40-year-old actress, who has an overall deal with Apple TV+, posed for some pictures with executive producer and showrunner Theresa Kang-Lowe as the cast arrived.
Based on novel of the same name by Min Jin Lee, the series follows the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family across four generations, as they leave their homeland and embark upon a sweeping saga that takes place in Korea, Japan and America.
Pachinko premieres March 25 on Apple TV+.

The 57-year-old actor won the Best Supporting Actor award last year, so he was there to present Best Supporting Actress at this year’s event, which took place on Sunday (April 25) at Union Station in Los Angeles.
Brad and Yuh-jung shared such a sweet moment on stage and then they posed for photos together backstage. This was the first time they ever met in-person, even though Brad‘s production company Plan B produced Minari!

The 73-year-old Minari actress became the first South Korean and Asian actress to win Best Supporting Actress at the awards show on Sunday (April 25).
Youn was presented with the award by Brad Pitt, and was a bit taken aback when she finally got to meet him!
“Finally! Nice to meet you, Brad Pitt,” Youn said while taking the stage. “I’m living in the other part of the world, I just watch the television. … I cannot believe I’m here. Let me pull myself together.”
Youn then went on to thank her “wonderful Minari family” while giving a special shout-out to “captain” Lee Isaac Chung, who directed the movie.
“We played a different role, so we cannot compete [with] each other,” Youn said. “Tonight I’m here as just … I have just a little bit [of] luck. I think maybe, I’m luckier than you.”
The 73-year-old South Korean actress was joined by her Minari co-star Yeri Han on the red carpet as they arrived at the big event on Sunday (April 25) at Union Station in Los Angeles.
Youn looked pretty in a navy gown while the 36-year-old actress donned a red dress as they arrived at the Oscars.
Youn is nominated tonight for Best Supporting Actress for her role as the grandma, Soon-ja, in Minari.
