50 Cent & Eminem Are Reportedly Developing an '8 Mile' TV Series

Eminem and 50 Cent are apparently working to being 8 Mile to television.

According to 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, he revealed on Big Boy TV on YouTube that he and the “Lose Yourself” rapper were developing the a series based on the 2002 film.

During the appearance on the show, 50 Cent said that the longtime pals are working to develop a show, and added that he wanted to bring the story to younger generations so they would know Eminem‘s legacy to the music industry.

“I wanna bring, I’m gonna bring, 8 Mile to television,” he stated on the video. “It’s gonna be big. I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 100. I think it should be there for his legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.”

8 Mile centered on Jimmy Smith Jr (Eminem), who by day is a car factory worker, and attempts to gain respect in the Detroit rap community.

The film also starred Kim Basinger, Anthony Mackie, Taryn Manning and the late Brittany Murphy.

Currently, 50 Cent is a producer on Starz‘ BMF series.
