The 2020 Tokyo Olympics have officially closed!

On Sunday (August 8), the summer games ended with all the countries getting together again for an amazing closing ceremony in Tokyo, Japan.

Now that the games are over, we have compiled a list of the top five countries that took home the most medals.

In the end, Olympians from the United States took home the most medals out of all the other countries that competed!

The 2022 Winter Olympics are just a few months away, and will take place in Beijing, China.

Tom Daley Knits Again at Olympics Before Taking Home Bronze Medal!

Tom Daley is showing off his knitting skills again!

After competing in the 10m Platform Final at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the 27-year-old diver took a break to relax and do some knitting from the sidelines on Saturday (August 7) at the Toyko Aquatics Centre in Tokyo, Japan.

After all the divers competed, Tom came in third place, winning the bronze medal!

Going into the weekend, Tom already took home a medal, winning his first ever gold medal with partner Matty Lee in the Men’s Synchronized 10m Platform.

Allyson Felix Becomes Most-Decorated Woman in Olympic Track History

Allyson Felix is going down in history.

The 35-year-old track and field athlete became the most-decorated woman in the history of Olympic track on Friday (August 6) after claiming the bronze medal in the 400 meters race at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

You Won't Believe What Athletes Earn For Gold Medals At The Olympics

As the 2020 Olympics start to wind down, more athletes are awarded with shiny gold, silver and bronze medals and fans might be wondering just how much they make from their wins.

Top contenders like United States, Great Britain, Australia, China and Russia, have always gifted the top athletes with a nice amount of money.

This year as a bonus, Team USA gold medalists earn $37,000 for the achievements, while silver medalists bring home around $22,000 and bronze medalists earn $15,000.

However, Team USA isn’t the country to give out the biggest prize.

Simone Biles Wins Bronze in Return to Olympics Competition!

Simone Biles won bronze in her return to Olympic competition!

The 24-year-old superstar placed in third in the individual balance beam competition on Tuesday (August 3) in Tokyo, Japan.

“I was proud of myself just to go out there after what I’ve been through,” Simone told reporters after her win. “I’ll treasure this one a lot more after everything I have been through.”

Simone stepped away from Olympics competitions last week to focus on her well being, and she felt good enough to return for balance beam. This was the last competition Simone could participate in. In total, Simone now has 7 Olympic medals, including a silver medal for the USA team’s performance earlier in the Olympics.

In this event, the gold medal went to Guan Chenchen of China and silver went to Tang Xijing of China.

After Simone stepped away from the last few Olympics events, she received a lot of support from one person very special to her.
