Jason Biggs' Biggest Regret Is Turning Down This Beloved Role

Jason Biggs is opening up about one of his biggest regrets from his career.

The 42-yea-old actor, best known for his role in the American Pie movie series, says that he turned down the role of Ted Mosby on the CBS series How I Met Your Mother.

The role went to Josh Radnor and the series was a huge hit that lasted for nine seasons.

“I was offered the role. Yes,” Jason said in an interview on SiriusXM’s The Covino & Rich Show. “I was offered the role and it’s probably my biggest regret, you know, on passing. I think I was in a phase of, at the time — it sounds so obnoxious to say right now – but at the time it was like, ‘Okay, do I want to do TV?’ I don’t know that I was quite ready to go that route.”

Jason added, “Big picture, I have no regrets. Right? I’m very lucky, very fortunate. I’m still here. That’s number one. But yeah, if I had to pick out something I wish I had done differently, I would’ve taken that gig for sure. Absolutely.”

Alyson Hannigan, who played Jason‘s wife in the American Pie movies, starred in the series.

“We’ve never really talked about it,” Jason said. “I don’t know that she knows actually. Yeah, I don’t know if she knows.”

Here’s a list of roles that actors actually do regret taking!

'How I Met Your Mother's Upcoming Spinoff Gets a Rewrite

How I Met Your Mother‘s anticipated spinoff series How I Met Your Dad is getting a rewrite.

Three years after 20th Century TV attempted to launch the show’s spinoff with a CBS pilot, the studio is giving it another go, according to Deadline.

The original script was written by HIMYM creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas as well as Emily Spivey.

Then, last season the studio gave it another shot with This Is Us co-executive producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger but due to their busy schedule, they were not able to focus on the project.

The studio has now recruited Allison Bennett to create a brand new take on the How I Met Your Father concept.

Although there is no network attached to the show, CBS has expressed interest.

Neil Patrick Harris Doesn't Think 'How I Met Your Mother' Will Have A Reunion

Neil Patrick Harris still feels the need to defend the series finale of How I Met Your Mother.

The 43-year-old actor recently stopped by Watch What Happens Live to discuss his new Netflix show A Series of Unfortunate Events where he was asked about his former hit show.

After the show ended in 2014, fans had some very strong opinions about the way it ended.

Since the show ended, Neil has defended the series finale.

“I was very pro the finale. I thought that the writing was fantastic,” Neil said on WWHL.

When a fan asked if the cast is planning on getting together again for a reunion special, Neil said it doesn’t look too promising.

“Everyone’s kind of gone off and are doing their own stuff,” Neil said.
