'How I Met Your Mother' Creator Carter Bays Wants To Remove 'Certain Stuff' After Re-Watching The Series

When How I Met Your Mother ended in 2014, mega fans of the show had a lot of reactions to the shocking ending.

Now, creator Carter Bays is opening up in a new interview about the series, and revealing that some parts of the show would absolutely have to be taken out.

Carter is actually documenting his experience while re-watching the series on his Twitter and is sharing his thoughts with fans about it.

“I won’t go into specifics but I’ll just say I would love to go into an edit room and go George Lucas on this thing and remove certain stuff I really wish wasn’t in there and I bet nobody would miss,” he shared on Friday (June 4).

Carter is only on the third season of the series, which starred Josh Radnor, Jason Segal, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders and Neil Patrick Harris. Cristin Milioti would join the cast in the final season.

“How am I only 1/3 of the way through this thing?? There’s so much of it,” he added.

Just a few years ago, Neil opened up about if they’ll ever be a reunion special for the show.

If you missed it, a sequel series to the show, How I Met Your Father, is officially coming to Hulu.
