The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET on Thursday (November 23), a half an hour earlier than the event usually begins, to fit in performances from so many stars.

Each year, thousands of people gather in person and across the country to watch the annual celebration, featuring dozens of musical performances atop bright floats and massive balloons of our favorite pop culture characters.

The parade airs on NBC from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in all time zones.

If you’ve been on TikTok at all in the past month, chances are you’ve heard a snippet of Paul Russell‘s viral hit, “Lil Boo Thang”, and the full version of the song is finally out!

Paul began promoting the catchy track in June, and since then, the snippet has been used for over 50,000 videos and 5.3 million listens on the social platform.

“I had absolutely no indication the song would be as big as it is now. I went to bed with 30,000 followers and woke up with 100,000,” Paul told The Inquirer in a new interview.

Paul also told Billboard that the song “is meant to be a good time.

“When I wrote it, I was stressed out on a Thursday afternoon, so I just turned on some of the music that makes me happy and imagined that I was celebrating something. I think what makes the song special is the fact that so many of us are ready to just forget about whatever is happening around us and enjoy the good things in life — not just thinking back to good times in the past but creating new ones in the present day.”

The track led him to a record deal with Arista.
