Several Members of the Royal Family Not Invited to Stand with Queen Elizabeth at Trooping the Colour, 16 Other Royals Will Be By Her Side

Queen Elizabeth and Buckingham Palace have announced the list of royals who will be standing with her during the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony. Usually, the major royal family members stand on the balcony with the Queen to enjoy the celebrations.

Unfortunately, several royals and family members have been left off of the list, and the reason why was revealed by the Palace as well.

If you don’t know, the ceremony is to honor the official birthday of the British Sovereign for over 260 years. This year, it will take place on June 2.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, & Two of the Royal Kids Attend Prince Philip's Memorial Service

The memorial service for the late Duke of Edinburgh (aka Prince Philip, the Queen‘s late husband) was underway earlier today (March 29) at Westminster Abbey in London, England.

The royal family all gathered for the ceremony. Guests included Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) and two of their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, plus the Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, and Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, among others.

Prince Philip passed away at the age of 99 in April of 2021 (and his cause of death was revealed a short time later.)

Because his funeral was held during the pandemic, there were only a few people invited. Many important people were left off the guest list.

Princess Eugenie's Father In Law, George Brooksbank, Dies at 72

Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are in mourning after the passing of his father, George Brooksbank.

According to PA, Jack‘s father died last week after a prolonged illness.

Last year, George was put on a ventilator while he battled COVID-19 after a trip to France, and in a speech, Eugenie had thanked the NHS for saving his life.

“The point I really want to get across is that I think the NHS is absolutely magnificent,” George told The Telegraph in his own interview at the time. “The way I was treated was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble and at no point did I get a sense of a shortage of doctors or nurses or any impression that the service was in any way overwhelmed.”

Eugenie wrote on her Instagram afterward, “I can’t begin to express the thanks I have to you all for bringing him back to our family, my husband Jack, his brother Tom and his beloved wife Nicola. We are forever grateful.”

George passed away just days ahead of his grandson, August Brooksbank‘s christening, which occurred over the weekend.
