As a follow-up to their multiplatinum The E.N.D., The Black Eyed Peas are currently putting the finishing touches on their new album The Beginning.

“It symbolizes growth, new beginnings and starts, fresh new perspective,” will.i.am told AP of The Beginning, which is expected to be released by the end of the year.

BEP‘s No. 1 hit “I Gotta Feeling” also crossed the 6 million mark in digital downloads.

“It’s a positive, feel-good song at the time where there’s question marks and uncertainty,” Will added. “People want to be reminded that it’s going to be all right.”
