Salma Hayek Adapting 'The Prophet' Into Animated Movie
Salma Hayek walks through LAX Airport to catch a departing flight on Monday (February 27) in Los Angeles.
The night before, the 45-year-old actress attended the star-studded Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at Sunset Tower.
For her next project, Salma is teaming up with the Doha Film Institute to bring Kahlil Gibran‘s classic novel, “The Prophet,” to the big screen as an animated movie.
The book features 26 poetic essays divided into chapters dealing with themes such as love, marriage, children, joy and sorrow, religion, and prayer.
“‘The Prophet’ has been an incredible source of wisdom and inspiration for millions of people all over the world,” Salma, who’s producing the film, said (via THR). “Being of Lebanese descent, I’m particularly proud to be part of a project that will present this masterpiece to new generations, in a way never seen before.”
