Kevin Costner's TV Show 'Yellowstone' Getting A Prequel Series on Paramount+

Paramount Network has just announced that its’ popular television series, Yellowstone, is getting a prequel series!

Y: 1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land – Montana.

The announcement of the show also revealed a deal with showrunner Taylor Sheridan.

“I am excited to continue the story of Yellowstone and thank you to Chris, Keith and David for allowing me to keep on expanding the family for the fans,” he said.

An extended first look at Y: 1883 will air during this Sunday’s Super Bowl LIV.

Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, and Gil Birmingham all star in Yellowstone, which airs Sundays on Paramount Network.
