The comedian and his wife, Camille, are reportedly exploring his options for legal recourse after he spent the past few years in jail, which includes potentially suing the Pennsylvania county where he was tried.

According to the outlet, they’re looking into the possibility of a lawsuit for abuse of process, which is “one of several potential options” they’re discussing.

The court ruled earlier this week that an agreement he made with former prosecutor Bruce Castor in 2005 should have prevented him from being charged again. He was released from prison and returned home on Wednesday (June 30).

He was originally charged in 2015, and convicted in 2018, and sentenced to three to ten years for the raping of Andrea Constand at his Philadelphia home in 2004.

He served more than two years of his sentence at a state prison near Philadelphia.

He also just released his first statement since leaving prison.
