Kelly Clarkson Declared Legally Single Amid Divorce Proceedings

Kelly Clarkson is Miss Independent once more.

The 39-year-old “Since U Been Gone” superstar was declared legally single amid her ongoing divorce from Brandon Blackstock, Us Weekly reported Friday (September 24).

In the latest court documents, a judge signed off on Kelly and Brandon‘s single status last month, and their “marital or domestic partnership status” will end on January 7, 2022.

Kelly filed for divorce back in June of 2020, citing irreconcilable differences. The two have been locked into disputes throughout the divorce proceedings ever since, and Kelly recently celebrated her prenup being honored by a judge.

There were also headlines about the amount of money Brandon was making from spousal support payments.
