George Clooney and wife Amal step out for the 45th Kennedy Center Honors ceremony held at The Kennedy Center on Sunday night (December 4) in Washington, DC.

The 61-year-old actor is one of five honorees for the event, alongside musicians Amy Grant, Gladys Knight, U2 and American composer, conductor and educator Tania León.

The Honors recipients are recognized for their contributions to American culture through the performing arts—whether in music, dance, theater, opera, motion pictures, or television.

Amy was joined by her husband, singer Vince Gill, Bono‘s wife, Ali Hewson, Ariana DeBose, Isla Fisher, Sacha Baron Cohen, Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile, Norah O’Donnell, Richard Kind, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso also stepped out to show their support for everyone.

“To be mentioned in the same breath with the rest of these incredible artists is an honor. This is a genuinely exciting surprise for the whole Clooney family,” George said in a statement about the honor.

The televised ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 28 at 8 p.m. on CBS, and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

There was an awkward moment already during the 2022 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

About a half hour into the parade, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden called into the parade, but experienced some amusing and relatable technical difficulties.

Many parade watchers commented on social media about the awkward, silence-filled exchange, while others lamented the fact that the conversation distracted from coverage of the Goku balloon going by.

We’re taking a look at all of President Joe Biden‘s kids and grandkids!

If you didn’t know, the 79-year-old President is father to four kids, two of whom have sadly passed.

Joe shared three kids with his first wife Neilia: Beau, Hunter, and Naomi. While Joe was senator in 1972, his wife, Neilia, and 1-year-old daughter, Naomi, died in a car accident, while his two sons, were in the car but survived.

Several years later, Joe met his current wife Jill Biden. They got married in June of 1977 at the United Nations chapel in New York City, and welcomed daughter Ashley in 1981.

Elton John got emotional at the White House while being surprised with the honor of the National Humanities Medal.

The legendary singer-songwriter received the special award while performing at the “Night When Hope and History Rhyme” event on Friday night (September 23) in Washington, D.C.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were on stage to present Elton with the honor. He was also joined by husband David Furnish.

“Tonight is my great honor, and I mean this sincerely, to present the National Humanities Medal to Sir Elton John,” Biden said.

An officer read the words on the medal, saying, “The President of the United States awards this National Humanities Medal to Sir Elton John for moving our souls with his powerful voice, one of the defining songbooks of all time. An enduring icon and advocate with absolute courage, who found purpose to challenge convention, shatter stigma and advance a simple truth: that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.”

The seating chart was a huge topic of conversation during and after Queen Elizabeth‘s funeral on Monday (September 19) in London, England.

Foreign leaders and royals from around the world came together at Westminster Abbey to mourn the loss of the beloved queen, who reigned for over 70 years.

Many noticed that the President of the United States, Joe Biden, and First Lady Jill Biden were seated 14 rows back. Many believed this was some kind of slight to the United States. Now, the choice is being explained in two possible scenarios.

They ended up being seated behind Polish President Andrzej Duda and in front of the Czech Republic’s Prime Minister Petr Fiala. They were seated next to Ignazio Cassis, the president of Switzerland.

President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth on Monday (September 19) in London, England.

The couples arrived to the funeral, which was held in Westminster Abbey, wearing all black. Other world leaders including Liz Truss (the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom) and French President Emanuel Macron were in attendance. Liz was seen with several former prime ministers including Tony Blair and John Major. Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who Liz replaced, also came to the funeral.

President Biden was photographed paying his respects to the Queen the day before the funeral. He released a lengthy statement honoring the Queen after her death.

In case you missed it, Catherine, Princess of Wales (aka Kate Middleton) wore two special pieces of jewelry to the funeral. She was accompanied by Prince William, Prince of Wale, and her two oldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
