Cate Blanchett and husband Andrew Upton join in on the glitz and glamour at the 2009 Helpmann Awards held at the Sydney Opera House on Monday (July 27) in Sydney, Australia.
The Helpmann Awards recognize distinguished artistic achievement and excellence in the many disciplines of Australia’s live performance sectors, including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, opera, classical music, dance and physical theatre.
Cate and Andrew are currently the artistic co-directors of the Sydney Theatre Company.

I’m thinking the people who are making fun of Andrew are not with the times. Andrew has ALWAYS looked like this-it’s not as if it’s a newsflash that he isn’t the best looker. However, he is intelligent, sweet, funny, charismatic & most importantly supportive of his famous wife. You won’t find this couple ever in tabloids getting a divorce which is unique in Hollywood. People need to realize there’s more to a person than good looks!

love this black dress with sleeves.i think she wore something like this when she was touring BB but it was more shaped in the hips and it was off shoulder one sleeve with the same shoulder. i like that she knows what suits her. thanks jared.
