Cate Blanchett Shines at BAM Belle Reve Gala

Cate Blanchett keeps wraps around English actress Charlotte Rampling at the BAM Belle Reve Gala at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on Thursday (December 3) in New York City.

The 40-year-old Aussie actress worea grey satin and black lace fitted Giorgio Armani Prive cocktail dress.

Cate is currently starring in the play, A Streetcar Named Desire, at BAM. The NYDN writes, “The casting of Blanchett, one of the heads of STC, has made this show one of the hottest tickets in town. So it’s fitting that [her character] Blanche’s shattered face is the first and last image seen in this three-hour-plus show. It’s a haunting sight, and the memory of it lingers long after this vehicle departs.”
