Sam Worthington: 'Riders' Star!

The 36-year-old Avatar actor and his girlfriend were also seen stopping by Barnes & Noble.

It was recently announced that Sam will be starring in an adaptation of the thriller novel “The Riders“, according to Empire.

The story centers on “Scully (Worthington) and his wife Jennifer traveling through Europe for two years. When they wash up in Ireland, they set their hearts on buying and renovating a farmhouse. Sully stays put to start the work while Jennifer returns to Australia to ship their belongings over. Weeks later, Scully heads to the airport to pick up his wife and their seven-year-old daughter Billie, only to discover the little girl alone, with no sign of Jennifer and no clue as to her disappearance. So the search begins…”

The film is scheduled to have a January 2014 release date.
