Aaron Carter Reportedly Arrested for DUI & Drug Possession

Aaron Carter has been arrested.

The 29-year-old “I Want Candy” singer was taken into custody on Saturday night (July 15) in Habersham County, Ga., according to Entertainment Tonight.

Aaron was charged with DUI refusal, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, and possession of drug-related objects, a spokesperson for the Habersham County Sheriff told the outlet.

ABC News reports that his female companion Madison Parker, who was riding in the vehicle, was arrested as well.

Aaron was set to perform in concert at Kansas City Live! in Kansas City, Mo., that night. His team tweeted before the event that he would have to cancel because of “transportation issues.”

Last month, Aaron was hospitalized after he was body-shamed by a female fan.
