Keanu Reeves & Carrie-Anne Moss to Return for 'The Matrix 4'!

The Matrix 4 is happening, and the original stars are returning to reprise their roles!

Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, as well as co-creator and director Lana Wachowski, will star in a fourth installment of the beloved series, THR reported on Tuesday (August 20).

Lana will write, direct and produce the new film, with Keanu returning as Neo and Carrie-Anne returning as Trinity.

“We could not be more excited to be re-entering The Matrix with Lana. Lana is a true visionary—a singular and original creative filmmaker—and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in The Matrix universe,” said Warner Bros. exec Toby Emmerich.

“Many of the ideas Lilly [Wachowski] and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now. I’m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends,” said Lana.
