Kate Walsh to Return to 'Grey's Anatomy' - Here's What We Know So Far!

OMG! We have some huge Grey’s Anatomy news to share.

It was just announced that Kate Walsh will be returning to the show for the upcoming 18th season to reprise her role as Addison Forbes Montgomery.

TVLine reports that she will appear in “multiple episodes” of season 18.

The new season premieres on ABC on September 30.

Kate joined the cast of Grey’s in the season one finale and remained on the show for two seasons. She then got her own spinoff series, Private Practice, which ran until 2013.

In a previous interview back in 2017, Kate seemingly implied a return to Grey’s would be very unlikely. She said at the time, “I feel like we wrapped it up… I’m not saying if [series creator] Shonda [Rhimes] was like, ‘We’re gonna do a very special episode of Grey’s where… But she really consciously, we did it all. We had the spinoff, and we had all that. It was an amazing experience and journey.”
