Cynthia is nominated at the show for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role as Aretha Franklin in Genius: Aretha.

The Emmys ceremony this year is being hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and the show will be broadcast on CBS and the Paramount+ streaming service. The Creative Arts Emmys were handed out last weekend and the full winners list has already been announced for those awards!
