Mattea Roach once again reigned as the Jeopardy! champion at the end of the episode, but it was the final jeopardy segment that got fans talking.

After two rounds of game play, Mattea was the only one left standing with a positive score.

Her competitors, Loni Lewis and Sean Wong, were both in the red as Final Jeopardy approached, which caused Mattea to be the only player in the final round.

A single player Final Jeopardy has happened before – in 2012, 2015, and just recently in 2020 with Kevin Walsh.

Mattea is currently on a winning streak, with this game making her 12th consecutive win. So far, she’s racked up $271,282 in winnings.
