The series stars Soji Arai as Mozasu, Jin Ha as Solomon, Inji Jeong as Yangjin, Minha Kim as teenage Sunja, Lee Minho as Hansu, Kaho Minami as Etsuko, Steve Sanghyun Noh as Isak, Anna Sawai as Naomi, Junwoo Han as Yoseb, Jung Eun-chae as Young Kyunghee, Jimmi Simpson as Tom Andrews, Yu-na Jeon as young Sunja, and Academy Award-winning actress Yuh-Jung Youn as older Sunja.

Now, fans are already wondering about Season 2 – and it’s officially a go!

The show was just renewed for a second season, via Variety.

“Words cannot express my joy in being able to continue telling the extraordinary story of this indomitable family. I’m grateful to the amazing team at Apple and Media Res studio for believing and supporting this show and to our passionate fans who have cheered us on. It’s an honor to be able to continue working with this amazing cast and crew,” said Pachinko creator and EP Soo Hugh.

Last month, Soo Hugh spoke to ScreenRant about expectations for a follow-up – and she revealed how long the series will run!

“The show is four seasons long, so it was never supposed to be a limited series. So the idea is we’re going to watch these characters grow up as well, so that storyline is coming,” she said of a character from the book that hasn’t appeared in the series yet.

“I think there’s no way you can tell the story just in eight episodes; it’s impossible. To do it full justice, and to fall in love with the characters and really understand what they live through, it has to be the whole spectrum.”

Stay tuned for a Season 2 premiere date!
