Comedian Teddy Ray Has Passed Away at 32

Teddy Ray, a comedian who was known for appearing in the HBO Max series Pause with Sam Jay, has died at the young age of 32.

The news was confirmed by members of the comedy community, including Teddy‘s friends at Comedy Central.

“Teddy Ray was a hilarious and beloved performer,” the network wrote in a tweet on Friday night (August 12). “He’ll be deeply missed by the entire comedy community.”

A cause of death for the L.A.-based comedian is not known as of this time.

Media company All Def Digital, which has collaborated with Teddy in the past, tweeted, “We’re heartbroken and still can’t believe that our brother Teddy Ray has passed away. We will miss him every day but we know he will have Heaven laughing. Our deepest condolences and prayers to his immediate family and friends. #RIP #TeddyRay.”

Abbott Elementary creator and star Quinta Brunson tweeted, “Rest well, Teddy. The kindest and funniest. We’re all going to miss you far too much.”
