Jay Leno Announces First Performance After Release From Burn Center & It's Taking Place This Weekend!

Jay Leno isn’t wasting any time in getting back to work.

The 72-year-old The Tonight Show alum announced plans to return to the stage for a comedy performance just a few days after he was released from the burn center.

In case you missed it, Jay was hospitalized on November 13 and sustained burns on his face after a fire in his garage. He spent 10 days in the burn center and underwent two surgeries in that time.

However, while out to gas up his car on Tuesday (November 22), he alluded to plans for a performance this weekend.

Jay told paparazzi that he was taking the stage at the Comedy Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, Calif. on Sunday (November 27), according to ET. Fans will likely recall that he’s performed quite often at the club.

In fact, the publication noted that he has even used the space to test out jokes that would later appear on The Tonight Show.

The comedian also noted that he would drive the car that was at the center of the horrible fire. He made it clear that “the car didn’t do anything wrong.”

Earlier this summer Jay denied rumors that he sabotaged another late-night host.
