Grey’s Anatomy is now airing its 20th season and we’re taking a look at all of the cast members who returned for the milestone installment of the franchise… and who didn’t.

This is the first full season without Ellen Pompeo in the title role, but thankfully several major stars are coming back.

It was reported early last year that six series regulars signed on to return for the 20th season, including two actors who have been with the show since day one.

Season 20 premiered on March 14, 2024 and will be airing for the rest of the spring.

There have been some recent shakeups in the cast of Grey’s Anatomy ahead of the season 20 premiere, including news about former cast members coming back and beloved stars not returning.

ABC has released an official trailer for the 20th season of Grey’s Anatomy ahead of the premiere in a couple weeks.

The new trailer teases Ellen Pompeo‘s return to the show for a four-episode arc, as well as the introduction of Natalie Norales‘ new character Dr. Monica Beltran.

The trailer was also filled with plenty of drama with Scott Speedman‘s Dr. Nick Marsh threatening to fire one of the interns and Kim Raver‘s Dr. Teddy Altman collapsing in surgery.

Grey’s Anatomy season 20 will debut on ABC on March 14 at 9pm ET.

Chandra Wilson, Caterina Scorsone and Camilla Luddington looked gorgeous on the carpet at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards held at Barker Hangar on Sunday (February 18) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The Grey’s Anatomy stars were joined by several of their co-stars on the green carpet at the awards show ceremony!

Also stepping out from the cast were Kim Raver, Kevin McKidd, James Pickens Jr, Chris Carmack, Jake Borelli and Anthony Hill.

Grey’s Anatomy is nominated for Show of the Year and Drama Show of the Year!

On the carpet, the cast teased the upcoming return of Jessica Capshaw as Arizona.

Other stars in attendance included Ginny & Georgia‘s Brianne Howey, Antonia Gentry and Katie Douglas. They are also up for Drama Show of the Year.

FYI: Brianne is wearing a Silvia Tcherassi dress. Katie is wearing Etro.

Jaina Lee Ortiz wore her most daring look yet while attending an after party following the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards!

The 37-year-old Station 19 actress wore a see-through sheer dress while attending The Walt Disney Company’s after party on Monday night (January 15) at Otium in Los Angeles.

Jaina was joined at the event by co-star Danielle Savre, as well as Grey’s Anatomy cast members Jake Borrelli, Camilla Luddington, Niko Terho, and Anthony Hill.

During the Emmys, some of the original cast members of Grey’s Anatomy reunited on stage for a fun moment!
