Scheana Shay Welcomes First Child With Boyfriend Brock Davies: 'So Excited To Be Summer's Parents'

Scheana Shay is a mom!

The 35-year-old Vanderpump Rules reality star has welcomed her first baby, a daughter, with boyfriend Brock Davies, on Monday, April 26.

Scheana and Brock have named their daughter, Summer Moon, and she weighed 6 lbs., 12 oz.

“My heart is SO FULL ๐Ÿค,” Scheana shared with a photo of the new family in the hospital.

“Almost 24 hours after being induced, my blood pressure was extremely elevated. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia, which has now turned into HELLP syndrome. My doctor said I was lucky, and we caught this just in time to treat as it’s very unusual to be caught so late, in postpartum,” Scheana wrote of the details behind her daughter’s birth.

She continued, “Until this morning I was on a magnesium drip that made me extremely lethargic and flu-like, shivering uncontrollably to the point where I felt like I was seizing. Having not caught this condition in time, that would have been likely. I am still being monitored closely for elevated liver enzymes and low blood platelets and not sure how much longer we will be here.”

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out and sent their love and thank you to the amazing staff here at Cedars-Sinai. We are definitely feeling all the feels and just so excited to be Summer’s parents!!!” Scheana concluded.

Scheana isn’t the only Vanderpump Rules star to welcome a baby this year – so did Jax Taylor, Lala Kent and Stassi Schroeder.

'Vanderpump Rules' Star Scheana Shay is Pregnant Months After Suffering Miscarriage

Scheana Shay is going to be a mom!

The 35-year-old Vanderpump Rules star announced on Wednesday (October 28) that she and boyfriend Brock Davies are expecting their first child together.

“ITโ€™S ALL HAPPENING APRIL 2021!!! We are expecting our rainbow baby!!! ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿป” Scheana wrote on Instagram.

News of Scheana‘s pregnancy comes after she announced back in June that she had suffered a miscarriage.

“We got pregnant so quickly,” Scheana shared with People. “My doctor told me to wait one period and ovulation cycle and then we could try again. It was the first and only time we tried and I had a feeling right away, but it was so soon to tell because I wasn’t even close to missing my period yet. I just had a feeling.”

She continued: “After going through the miscarriage and knowing those signs,” this time around, “it was comforting knowing, ‘Okay, you’re not spotting, you’re not cramping, you still feel pregnant, you’re still tired, your boobs still hurt.’”

“I had to keep convincing myself it’s okay because last time I woke up one day and there’s no other way to explain it, just that I didn’t feel pregnant anymore,” Scheana recalled. “I told my mom that and her heart broke because before my sister, she too had a miscarriage and the same thing โ€” she said she just felt not pregnant one day.”

“After a miscarriage, I was definitely even more aware of my body, but just so much more cautious and scared … I was just too afraid to lift up a 5 lb. weight. I was like, ‘But what if that makes me have a miscarriage?’ ” Scheana said. “It was every little thing, which I’m sure was driving Brock crazy because he’s like, ‘You’re fine!’ But I was just like, ‘I need to make sure, I need to make sure’ โ€” and now we’ve made sure! Everything is good.”

Scheana is now the fourth Vanderpump Rules star that is pregnant. Stassi Schroeder and Lala Kent are both expecting girls while Brittany Cartwright is expecting a baby boy.

Congrats to Scheana and Brock!

'Vanderpump Rules' Star Scheana Shay Reveals She Has Suffered a Miscarriage

Scheana Shay is opening up about a miscarriage.

The 35-year-old Vanderpump Rules star confirmed the sad news on Friday’s episode (June 26) of her Scheananigans podcast.

During the episode, Scheana confirmed that she and boyfriend Brock Davies first learned of her “miracle” pregnancy “a few weeks ago” and were surprised because doctors previously told her “it would be close to impossible to get pregnant on [her] own.”

“I didn’t think that I could get pregnant on my own. My AMH levels, for those of you who know what they are, were 0.28. That’s basically your fertility levels, and that tells you your egg count. I have very low ovarian reserve,” she said.

She learned she was expecting while celebrating her boyfriend’s birthday. They told close friends and family, but she started “bleeding all weekend, and it wasn’t stopping.”

The bleeding stopped after she went on progesterone supplements, until she went in for an ultrasound, when the doctor discovered “there was no heartbeat” and “nothing progressing” or “growing inside.”

“There were parts that he could see where [the fetus] was starting to form and it just didn’t. So obviously, [it was] just devastating. We were so excited. To be excited for a few weeks and then it’s gone so quickly. It’s still been a lot to process.”

“Now I’m at home and I’m just waiting to naturally miscarry. I have to go back to my doctor this week so he can do another ultrasound. Because now I’m just literally sitting here waiting, feeling normal but still treating my body as if I’m pregnant, which is a complete mindfโ€”k because I know there’s nothing progressing but there’s still something there and I haven’t passed it yet.”

Just earlier this month, her Vanderpump Rules co-star announced she is expecting.

Our thoughts are with Scheana at this difficult time.
