That Mad Men was bravely old fashioned, bringing earned, heartbreaking/warming conclusions to characters we love. Like an old time TV show.

That was a pretty great hour of television.

It's a show about how content came to be ad-funded in the 20th century and what that meant for American culture.

Why I liked the Mad Men finale: To me it was always a clever (but not great) show about the ascent of clever (but not great) content.

So Don Draper goes to a hippie retreat to find the biggest ad campaign ever?! Not bad. Gonna miss Mad Men

Chill that Mad Men, like Breaking Bad, was ultimately a tribute to how great it is to work on something great.

MAD MEN is one of my favorite shows of all time. I loved it this morning, I love it now. But I thought that finale was unambiguously awful.

Last #MadMenFinale tweet of the night: In summation, I liked it. And even if I didn't, it wouldn't even begin to undo the show's greatness.

Best ending. #MadMenFinale

I didn't think a series finale could have been worse than Dexter's. #MadMenFinale

I NEED a Sally or Joan spinoff! @MadMen_AMC #MadMenFinale

Ironically, by being such a shitty man, Mad Men made us want to be better men. #MadMenFinale

Surprising twist as I reflect…really want to know what becomes of Sally Draper. #MadMenFinale

The #MadMenFinale was oh so nihilistic. A great bookend to a series that began w/ Don telling us that love is an invention to sell nylons.

I'd like to buy Matthew Weiner a Coke #MadMenFinale

Matthew Weiner, I bow down to you. That was amazing. #MadMenFinale
