Lucy Liu: 'Good Morning America'

Lucy Liu makes her way to Good Morning America on Wednesday (April 18) in New York City.

The 43-year-old actress, in a Thakoon dress, talked about her gig on Southland, in which she plays tough police officer Jessica Tang.

“She’s very raw and she’s very real,” Lucy said. “And I think the situations they put her in and the way the write the script and how it’s produced- they basically wanted Cops scripted and that’s what the show is. So it keeps people on their toes.”

Lucy also recently spoke with People about all the training she put in saying, “We did everything – gun training and evasive driving, which was really scary, but thrilling,” Lucy explained. “We shot tasers, machine guns and rifles; we learned handcuffing. It was intense. I got pretty banged up.”
