Nicki Minaj: Fourth of July Party with Safaree Samuels!

Nicki Minaj wears her sailor hat while attending the Myx Fusions 4th of July Private Affair on Thursday (July 4) at Pier 59 in New York City.

The 30-year-old entertainer was joined for the party by her boyfriend Safaree Samuels.

Nicki chatted at the party about her experience on American Idol.

“My experience was great! It was a blessing,” Nicki told E! News. “I had a wonderful time and I learned a lot about myself; I learned a lot about the world’s perception of me. And I think it was a great thing for hip-hop to see me transcend, and then I can come come back and still do the BET Awards and still be authentic in what I do.”
