Neil Patrick Harris Explains Why He Passed On 'American Horror Story' Role

Neil Patrick Harris rocks a tie while making an appearance on Good Morning America on Friday (October 17) in New York City.

The day before, the 41-year-old actor made a stop at SiriusXM Studios, where he chatted about turning down a role on the first season of American Horror Story.

“The idea was that we would be a gay couple that, as it turns out, were murdered in this house, and our ghosts are around for the thing,” Neil shared during the interview about playing a couple with his husband David Burtka.

NPH added, “We had just played ourselves as a couple not getting along, and I thought, ‘It just seems weird to do that twice, as individual actors to play a couple that hate each other twice. So I said ‘no,’ that we shouldn’t do it.” Listen to the audio clip below!
