Jessica Alba & Jennifer Meyer Celebrate RED Necklace Launch with Ellen Pompeo & More!

Jessica Alba and Jennifer Meyer get together for a photograph at their Jennifer Meyer xo Jessica Alba Necklace Launch Celebration Party held at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Tuesday (February 3) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 33-year-old actress/businesswoman and Jennifer, 37, were joined at the event by Ellen Pompeo, Sara Foster and her sister Erin, Kerry Washington, Rachel Zoe, and pregnant Molly Sims.

The two necklaces, launching Wednesday (February 4) on Gilt.com, were made to benefit the (RED) charity organization. Net proceeds from the sales of the heart-shaped necklaces will provide nine or 27 months of lifesaving medication to pregnant HIV-positive women in Africa through the Global Fund, a beneficiary of (RED).

“We realized that hearts were a perfect metaphor for this project…it’s an easy, elegant design that women can keep close to their hearts,” Jessica told WWD.

“We’re both moms so it really hits home,” Jennifer continued. “Imagine that feeling of transferring something to your child. It’s the worst thing in the world, and there are ways to prevent it.”
