Cynthia Nixon Considering a Run for Governor in New York

Cynthia Nixon is reportedly considering a gubernatorial run in New York state in a hope to unseat the current governor Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo is a two-term Democrat who is planning to seek out a third-term next year, but Nixon is being urged by liberal groups to run, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“She’s an out-of-the-box candidate with progressive credentials who would excite people,” Alliance for Quality Education director Billy Easton told WSJ.

Cynthia, who is married to wife Christine Marinoni, has been active in the New York City political scene and has used her platform to support LGBTQ rights.
