Billie Lourd Shares Tribute To Late Mother Carrie Fisher On Her 66th Birthday & Reflects On Grief

Billie Lourd has her mother on her mind.

Friday (October 21) would have been Carrie Fisher‘s 66th birthday, and her 30-year-old daughter marked the occasion with a heartfelt tribute on social media.

The Ticket to Paradise actress shared a photo of them together from her childhood and opened up about her experience grieving her mother after the legendary star passed away at 60.

“My Momby would have been 66 today. I woke up this morning feeling like I should write some long wise grief advice caption like I know what the f-ck I’m talking about,” Billie wrote in the accompanying caption.

“But then I realized even after 6 years I still have no formula or map on what to do on days like these,” she added. “You can never be an expert in grief. It is forever changing – the ultimate shape shifter. And you never feel like you know exactly what to do or feel. And that’s okay. Whatever you feel is okay. Sending my love to all the griefers (yet another billie lourd petition to make this a real word) out there. You are not alone.”

Billie shares similar tributes to Carrie on social media frequently. She marked the fifth anniversary of her passing last December.
