Vince Vaughn Signs On for 'Dodgeball' Sequel Nearly 20 Years After Original Hit Premiered

Vince Vaughn is gearing up to dodge more balls on camera.

The 53-year-old Wedding Crashers star signed on for a sequel to his 2004 hit movie Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.

He shared the screen with the likes of Ben Stiller, Justin Long and Christine Taylor in the original movie. It’s unclear if any of the other stars will be returning. However, one of them hinted that Vince had an idea for the sequel a few months ago.

Deadline confirmed that Vince was back for Dodgeball 2 and noted that Jordan VanDina would be handling the script.

During an interview last year, Justin opened up about Vince‘s plans for a sequel to the hit movie.

“Of course, I would love to do it and I hope that it ends up happening,” he said at the time. However, he hinted that another co-star might not be as willing to mess with the screen hit, saying that they were “a little trepidatious about doing a sequel to something so beloved, something that people enjoy so much that.”

The news of the Dodgeball sequel comes shortly after it was revealed that Vince had joined the cast of another star-studded movie.
