Amazon is reportedly contemplating reboots for around a dozen hit movies and series that were owned by MGM after acquiring the studio.

If you were unaware, Amazon Studios purchased the rights to MGM for $8.5 billion in early 2022. Just over a year later, details are emerging about how they plan to incorporate some of the classics they now own into their release schedule.

That includes conversations about the future of franchises such as Legally Blonde and Robocop.

The debut trailer for Amazon’s Prime Video series Dead Ringers just debuted online and features Rachel Weisz playing identical twins.

The show is a modern take on David Cronenberg’s 1988 thriller starring Jeremy Irons.

The show will follow Elliot and Beverly Mantle (Weisz), twins who share everything: Drugs, lovers, and an unapologetic desire to do whatever it takes—including pushing the boundaries on medical ethics—in an effort to challenge antiquated practices and bring women’s health care to the forefront. Britne Oldford, Poppy Liu, Michael Chernus, Jennifer Ehle, and Emily Meade also star.

Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra are starring in the upcoming Prime Video series Citadel and the first photos have been released!

The two actors share a steamy moment in one of the photos, which you can check out in the gallery.

Also starring in the series are Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville. Citadel will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on Friday, April 28, with two episodes, followed by a new episode released weekly every Friday through May 26.

Here is the show’s full synopsis: “Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency—tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people—was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows. With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Chopra) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives. They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick (Tucci), who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order. Mason seeks out his former partner, Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an effort to stop Manticore, all while contending with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and a dangerous-yet-undying love.”

The official trailer for the upcoming Prime Video series Swarm has arrived and it shows the murderous lengths an obsessed fan will go.

Dominique Fishback stars in the new series from showrunner Janine Nabers and Donald Glover, who directed the pilot episode. Malia Obama is one of the writers on the show!

Swarm, set between 2016-2018, follows Dre (Fishback), an obsessed fan of the world’s biggest pop star who sets off on an unexpected cross-country journey. The series will also feature guest stars Chloe Bailey as Dre’s sister, Marissa, and Damson Idris as Marissa’s boyfriend, Khalid. Additional guest stars include, Rickey Thompson, Paris Jackson, Rory Culkin, Kiersey Clemons, and Byron Bowers.

“Dre and Marissa are in their 20s and Malia is in her 20s, so it was really great having someone like her in the room,” Janine told VF. “She’s a very professional person. She’s an incredible writer and artist. We really wanted to give her the opportunity to get her feet wet in TV and see if this is something she wants to continue doing.”

Amazon created a Super Bowl commercial about a dog that is going to tug at your heartstrings.

In the ad, a dog tears up a family’s house every time they leave him at home alone. It’s clear that they love the dog, but when we see them look up a dog kennel on Amazon, it almost seems they might be getting ready to bring him to a shelter.

Well, the commercial has the best possible twist ending.

Reacher is a huge fan favorite on Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service, and it is returning for another season.

Now, we’ve learned that two of the characters will definitely be returning for more episodes, but some others are still up in the air.

Showrunner Nick Santora recently confirmed that characters could come and go, saying, “I will say this, and I’m not trying to be coy or cute: You never know if a character might come back. We might come up with a great idea and say, ‘You know what? Maybe that character can work in Season 2 or Season 3,’ and then you bring them back for a bit or for an extended visit. (But) Reacher is not a character who runs around with an entourage. He’s a lone wolf, so you have to stay true to that.”
