Scott Porter and his wife Kelsey Mayfield have welcomed a baby boy into the world!

The 35-year-old Hart of Dixie actor’s wife went into labor on Friday afternoon and didn’t give birth until late Saturday night (May 23).

“After a 44 Hour odyssey, #HousePorter has a new heir! Mommy and baby boy are both healthy and resting! Thank you all for the positive light!” Scott tweeted.

This is the first child for the couple, who met on the set of Friday Night Lights and got married in April 2013.

Hart of Dixie star Scott Porter and his wife Kelsey Mayfield are expecting their first child together, his rep confirms to JustJared.com!

The 35-year-old Friday Night Lights actor and his casting director wife hit the red carpet at the Jupiter Ascending premiere on Monday night (February 2) in Los Angeles where she showed off her baby bump. The baby is due this summer.

The couple met on the set of Friday Night Lights and married in April of 2013.
