Moana tops its third consecutive weekend box office with an $18.8 million gross!
The Disney animated flick – starring the voices of Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho – made another $23.5 million overseas for a global total of $238.8 million so far, according to THR.
Coming in at No. 2 was the star-studded comedy Office Christmas Party, which debuted to $17.5 million.
Taking the third spot was the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, starring Eddie Redmayne, Ezra Miller, and Colin Farrell, making an additional 10.8 million and getting close to the $200 million mark.
Rounding out the top five were Arrival and Doctor Strange, which grossed $5.6 million and $4.6 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, La La Land, starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, made $855,000 from five theaters in New York and Los Angeles, for a location average of $171,000.
Tom Ford‘s Nocturnal Animals expanded to more than 1,000 theaters and made an additional with $3.19 million.
