Natalie Portman 'Insisted' On Female Director For Ruth Bader Ginsburg Biopic

Natalie Portman pulls her own luggage while arriving on a Eurostar train on Saturday (June 20) in London, England.

It was recently announced that the 34-year-old actress delayed production on her film On the Basis of Sex, which centers on Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg‘s fight for equal rights.

“Natalie Portman came to talk to me about this, and we had a very good conversation. And one thing, interesting, that she insisted on, it held up the project for awhile. She said, ‘I want the director to be a woman. There are not enough women in this industry. There are many talented out there.’ And now they do have a woman director,” Ruth shared.
