Erinn Hayes' 'Kevin Can Wait' Character to Be Killed Off for Leah Remini

This summer, CBS made the decision to not bring back Erinn Hayes‘ character on the CBS sitcom Kevin Can Wait, and instead, decided to bring in Kevin James‘ former King of Queens co-star Leah Remini.

Now it has been revealed that the character will be killed off and there will be a time jump to make sense of bringing in Leah‘s character.

“The character will have passed away and we will be moving forward in time catching up at a later date,” CBS’ Thom Sherman said at the TCA.

One reporter asked if Kevin Can Wait is going to become King of Queens, Thom responded, “No, I don’t think so. I think the show speaks for itself and stands for itself. Obviously the chemistry between Kevin and Leah was amazing in the stunt episode we did at the end of last season, and we decided we want to continue that.”

Kevin James & James Corden Play Embarrassing Sports Dads On 'Late Late Show' Sketch - Watch Here!

James Corden and Kevin James played intense soccer dads for a hilarious sketch on last night’s (April 20) episode of The Late Late Show!

The bit began with the 51-year-old Kevin Can Wait star and the 38-year-old host calmly rooting for their respective kids – Charlie and Oliver – on the bleachers, though their cheering quickly escalated into an insults face off.

“Did Charlie skip a grade or something?” asked James. Corden said no. “He’s a little smaller than the rest of the guys,” James commented.

Big signs and banners gave way to cheerleading chants and then increasingly outrageous displays to one-up each other, with stereos coming out, a DJ booth and an entire marching band.

At the end, Adam Sandler makes a cameo, playing the referee who comes over to end the competition and inform the dads that not only was the game over, but both Oliver and Charlie were missing – Watch below!
