Mariah Carey Shuts Down Times Square for 'Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse'

Mariah Carey arrives in an elegant ball gown to New York City’s Times Square on Thursday evening (May 1).

The superstar shut down Times Square to promote her upcoming album Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse, where her fans packed in to catch a glimpse!

“Looking at my self portrait blown up in Times Square. Surreal… never thought I’d see my childhood…” Mariah tweeted that evening. “Making new friends in Times Square!” she added, along with several pics from her Twitter.
