Health Department Investigating Joan Rivers' Cardiac Arrest Episode During Outpatient Procedure

Joan Rivers went into a cardiac episode last week during a procedure at a clinic in New York City, and now the New York state health department is looking into the incident.

Spokesman James O’Hare said the department will be looking into the “the whole matter,” but declined to comment on more specifics on what exactly they would be looking into, THR reports.

Joan has been in the hospital since the episode and the status of her condition is not known. Yesterday, her daughter Melissa said that she was moved to a private room out of intensive care.
